Phoenix Magic
Introduction
Phoenix magic is the most powerful type of magic in the world of Flight of Virtue. Not only can they create their element from nothing they've been known to also manipulate the elements around them if their ability allows them too.
Only ever seen in birds; phoenixes are incredibly rare and there seems to be a certain process for one to become a Phoenix however they are very easy to spot from their glowing white pupils and eye markings to their unsual colouration.

Process
Due to the recent town of Heidrun (Himin); the knowledge of Phoenixes has started to expand including how they are created.
Stage 1: Rebirth
It first starts when a bird stumbles upon a large white leaf tree surrounded by fog and guarded by a Lux Phoenix. A deal is made between the two birds and the tree reacts; stabbing the confused bird with it's roots or branches. While this seems like a painful process the tree is actually unlocking ones potential - turning their Magic Aptitude from dormant to active. After the tree is done the area 'explodes' with the element the bird possesses.
Stage 2: Unstable
Now the bird can switch between their phoenix form and their original look. The Phoenix will always have similar anatomy except they are bigger both length and wingspan and crests lining the top of the head to sometimes along their back. These crests will always follow a pattern depending on the element and the same goes for the feather colours.
Stage 3: Standard
The more times the bird uses their new Phoenix powers the quicker they start to change. Their original form starts to change into their Phoenix form and there is no way they are able to change back. Later on, on this stage they are unable to transform and are stuck in their Original form until the Phoenix takes over. The conversion always starts on the left eye and ends on the right eye.
Stage 4: Advanced
Now with the conversion complete and the bird looking like a full fledged phoenix with no ability to go back. Here their ability is much more powerful than before and they have full control. Once someone reaches this stage - they cannot die of old age nor of natural diseases and fighting one requires a lot of power and stamina. Advanced Phoenixes can easily survive a stab through the heart or throat as long as the weapon isn't enchanted by Inanis magic and they get the blade out of their body quick enough.
Stage 5: Mastered
With age comes experience; a Phoenix who has managed to live a much longer life than any common bird can gain a 2nd ability as long as they trained enough with their element. These phoenixes are almost impossible to kill as they should have mastered their elemental gifts and their body becomes even more sturdy - healing quickly to even an enchanted Inanis weapon cannot kill them if the enchantment is weaker than the Phoenix.

Design
Eyes & Eye Markings
All Phoenixes will have glowing white pupils that seemingly reflect the moonlight and white markings surrounding the eyes; designed around their first ability. As long as these both stay white - they can use their magic freely.
However if the markings and/or the pupils turn black, it means they have lost their ability temporally this could be because of Inanis magic; trying to fight in an enclosed space where the sky is blocked or they suddenly get permanently blinded.
When a phoenix pupil turns into slits - similar to a reptile they are considered "lost". They lose complete control of their mind and their power; attacking allies and the ground surrounding them. Ingis phoenixes can cause wild fires or an Aqua phoenix can cause mass flooding etc. The only way to snap out of this state is either killing, knocking them out or the Phoenix using up all their stored magic. This state can also result in the markings extending and if they cover the full body - the Phoenix can 'explode' their element causing death and damage around them and can even summon a Natural Magic disaster.
